The Edgbaston Foundation is doing much increased community outreach work, including their latest appeal for toys for local families, as featured previously in our newsletter. There are an estimated 3000 families in Birmingham in temporary accommodation, with parents very worried they cannot afford to buy Christmas gifts for their children.
The final days for toy donation at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground are this Thursday 10th and Saturday 12th. It is very easy to donate at the cricket ground – the main barrier gates are open, volunteers in Santa hats direct you to the drop off point, you don’t even have to get out of the car as they pick up your donations from your boot or back seat.
Toys can also be donated for this appeal to The Moseley Exchange, with a final donation day of this Friday 11th December.
Alternatively, there are details at the bottom of the flier here of how to make a donation of money for toys to be bought, rather than taking in toys.
