Paper Recycling Pods stolen in Moseley

After the collection on Friday 5 June some households in Grove Avenue and Billesley Lane have discovered that the paper pods have been removed from their mixed recycling bins. It is not known if they were taken full of paper by criminals searching for items with ID that could be used in fraud or other crime, or if the empty pods were taken.

In theory you can order a new pod or bin here but we understand that the Council has none in stock and it will be some time before new supplies arrive.

Meanwhile you can leave paper out for recycling in a cardboard box – but please be careful not to include anything that could enable criminals to steal your identity. Be particularly careful with any document that contains your name, address and any financial information.

There is more information on the Action Fraud website here.
