Moseley Festival is Back This Weekend! 23-25 July

Moseley’s original community festival will be back this weekend, for a series of smaller-scale events. This year they’ve had to think slightly differently because of the ongoing pandemic, to ensure that people can enjoy activities safely. The organisers have planned most of the events outdoors to make the most of the beautiful Moseley Park & Pool and Highbury Park.

Events on Friday 23 July include a Midsummer Fashion show, stalls, a table-top bargains sale on Chantry Road, and a clothing swap-shop in Moseley Park.

Events on Saturday 24 July include a bric-a-brac sale, and a free Moseley Summer Fete in Moseley Park. In the park there will be over 35 stalls of homemade wares and community groups. Expect games and art installations, tombola, ice creams, and cake and tea.

On Sunday 25 July, families can take the Summer of Play pledge. There will also be a free concert by local musicians, the Moseley Misfits, and a Trivial Matters quiz at the Patrick Kavanagh Pub (booking details on social media).

Throughout the festival weekend find photography, textiles and illustrations popping up in venues around Moseley accompanied by heartfelt stories of the past 18 months as part of Threading Tales Together; a project by Moseley Together and Moseley Road Baths collaborating with local artists to collect and bring to life lockdown stories of people who’ve been volunteering and those shielding.

And across the weekend we can support our local High Street and enjoy special events and food offers from a host of local businesses.
