We are re-opening the Farmers Market on Saturday 27 June. We have 33 of your favourite traders coming with some amazing food, drink and plants! However, it is not ‘market as normal’.
We will be operating a one-way system with the entrance at the Cuban Embassy end of St Mary’s Row and the exit at the Fighting Cocks End. The two small foot entrances will be closed. This is so we can ensure the market does not become too full at any one time. Sadly, we will not be putting out the tables and chairs and we will be asking people to take food away from the market to eat.
This is our first market with Covid19 measures in place. We want to keep our traders, our customers and our volunteers safe. So please help us to help you:
Do not come if you feel ill.
Do bring a face covering if you have one.
Do not linger too long over purchases.
Pay contactless if you can.
Be patient if we ask you to wait to go inside the market.
Be patient if we try to limit queues.
Do not hang around to socialise inside the market – other people will want to come in.
Be nice to the traders and volunteers – they may be nervous too.
See the attached plan of stall location and layout and please enjoy our market being open!
