“I’m sure you would agree that vulnerable people’s experiences of lockdown need to be heard and quickly responded to. Please support the communities you serve by sharing the survey at the bottom of this email now. This allows people to share their needs and experiences during lockdown, which will then be regularly reported by Healthwatch Birmingham to relevant organisations, including your own.
These are unprecedented times and health and social care organisations are under immense pressure to cope with Covid-19. Vulnerable citizens are also facing new challenges, with the pressure on the NHS and other organisations causing disruption to their care and other needs.
We want to work with the local voluntary and community sector to support them. By hearing the experiences of individuals across the city we will support them to identify where support is available for vulnerable groups and how they can get the care they need. We will share what we hear directly with those who are delivering services to ensure local needs are met and the most vulnerable are protected.
We have already seen the amazing work taking place across the city and how the people of Birmingham are stepping up to help each other through this difficult time. We also aim to capture these incredible stories and celebrate our great city.
We are, therefore, calling on you and your organisation to support this important piece of work by sharing Healthwatch Birmingham’s online survey with your users and networks to ensure we can reach out to those most in need.
We will also be posting the survey on our social media accounts, and would be grateful if you could retweet or repost these messages.
