We’re grateful to one of our readers for pointing out that Birmingham Libraries’ services have been updated again during the current National Lockdown:
The libraries’ “Order and Collect” service has closed due to the restrictions, but from 1st February, some local library branches will be offering “Books by Post”, a free postal loans service available to all library members who pay council tax to Birmingham City Council during lockdown periods, running on a trial basis until 31 March 2021. See the website here for more information on borrowing “Books by Post”.
Free e-lending and other online services continue, which provide access to a huge range of digital resources for adults and children including ebooks, e-audiobooks, e-magazines, and e-newspapers. More information is available here.
If you have any questions about the services available during lockdown, the Library of Birmingham can be contacted by phone or email: firstname.lastname@example.org – 0121 242 4242
