An online workshop demonstrating a range of glass jar lantern making techniques will be held tomorrow, Thursday 11th February 7pm to 8.30pm.
The workshop will be an opportunity to spend time online with local like-minded crafters, and have fun for an hour while making something lovely that glows, reminding us of everything good. You can sign up to attend the free event here. Zoom link details will be sent out to registered participants on the day.
The session will be led by artist and maker Sophie Handy. Workshop sessions are free but any donations will be gratefully received via the Muzikstan website where you can also find more information about their monthly online music events.
The Moseley Park Illumination Trail will be held soon, so this workshop would be a fun opportunity to make a lantern for the trail! Lantern-making kits for the upcoming illumination trail are still available, and if you have spare glass jars, they’d still be appreciated! If you’d like to donate your finished glass jar lanterns to the illumination trail, they can be dropped off at Moseley Park on their Open Wednesdays, preferably by February 25th, or you can arrange for them to be picked up: firstname.lastname@example.org
