Hay Festival 18-31 May

The Hay Festival this year has gone digital. It is free to join but one has to register and book to be able to see and hear the talks. Access is through the “How to take part” and “Main Programme” links on the main Hay website.

The main programme is a calendar of events which is a bit tedious to work through. There are 5 – 8 events/day to choose from. Alternatively you can try clicking on the magnifying glass at the top right of the page, entering the name of an author, e,g Enright or Mantel, or whomever you hope might be there, or the title of a book, or something like “time” or “philosophy” will all bring up a list of sessions, and you can then click on the name of the speaker for full details and book a place for the session if it interests you.”
