Gardening Tips

“Many flowering plants that have outgrown their space can be split to make more plants and replanted at this time of year. I have just done this with garden geraniums. Another tip is, if short of growing space, you can successfully grow potatoes in an old compost bag. Just put a small amount of compost in the bottom then three or four potatoes, cover with compost and keep topping up as leaves appear. Finally if you like chillies or tomatoes but have no seeds, try growing the seeds from the ones you have in the fridge. I’ve successfully grown chillies with seeds from dried chillies.”
