Birmingham City Council’s COVID dashboard for the week 14-20 November can be read here.
The rate of cases and percentage of positive tests have decreased, slightly, when compared to the previous week. However, rates of cases have risen in the over 60yr age group and we continue to see workplace outbreaks which is reflected in case rate being highest in the 30-64yr age groups.
Birmingham City Council’s Public Health team reminds us that spread often happens in the household, and provides recommendations here on how we can all reduce spread at home. We are also reminded the NHS urgently needs more donors at the Birmingham Donor Centre. By building blood stocks now, we can all help the NHS through the critical winter period: you can register online and book an appointment here.
The current national restrictions remain in force until December 2nd, when the country is expected to be placed into a revised tiers system. We will include details of any changes to the guidelines for our area in upcoming newsletters.
