Collections for food banks

Many of you may have received a message from Thrive together with this link asking for foodbank donations to be taken to St. Mary and St Ambrose Church on Pershore Rd/Raglan Road junction, close to Edgbaston Cricket ground. The collection centre will operate on Fridays from 11.30am – 3.30pm.
Items collected by Thrive will be split between Sparkhill Food bank and The Active Well Being Society (TAWS).

TAWS is the organisation Moseley Together volunteers are already working with to deliver food parcels to vulnerable people in Moseley. TAWS also delivers food parcels and hot meals across the city. We already have two donation points in Moseley, so you do not need to make a special journey on Fridays to Pershore Road if the existing drop-off points are more convenient for you. They are:

69, Greenhill Road, B13 9SU – anytime. (Ring bell or text Izzy on 07784 155208)

Moseley Exchange (behind Moseley Post Office) – 11am to 3pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

At present Moseley Together volunteers are collecting a range of items and delivering to the following:
TAWS (egg boxes, clean carrier bags, tinned and package food  & toiletries)
Sparkhill Food bank (tinned and package food)
Anawim (food, women’s toiletries, baby & children’s food, toiletries and clothes)
Brum Baby Bank (nappies, baby items and baby clothes)
