The Something Club: Wed May 15th, 4 – 6pm
Welcome to our new Hive space – The Something Club! Hosted by Anji and Alexia, we’ll create a relaxing space to read, make something with paper, do some jigsaw puzzling or just sit and enjoy gentle company. Monthly, starting on Wed 15th May from 4 – 6pm.

Pint of Science – Brains, Babes and Booming Hearts: Wed May 15th, 7 – 9.30pm
Pint of Science is an annual science festival that takes place every May and brings researchers to local fun venues to share the latest happenings in the world of science. The perfect opportunity for you to meet the people shaping the science of tomorrow; come and share a unique moment with them! Moseley Hive has 2 events; book tickets here. Donation refreshments and snacks available at the venue. Feel free to bring a takeaway from the local high street if you wish; we have plates and cutlery available.

Itzatna Birmingham Herbolarium: May 16th, 11.30am – 2pm
Come and help design a Birmingham mobile/portable/travelling herb garden project co-created with local Moseley community groups exploring the global journeys of herbal plants. Try herbs in a multi sensory manner & guide how the project grows. This will sit alongside our community fridge and soup club.

Ceremony of Self: Thurs 16th May, 6.30 – 8.30pm
Free creative workshops for Women of all ages at Moseley Hive. This month we are going to be looking at empowerment; there will be group discussions, a meditation/visualisation, some free-writing, wild crown weaving, and a micro-ceremony to step into power. Please bring an item that gives you support that you would like to have with you in the ceremony. And please bring any material particular to you that you would like to weave into your crown, e.g. foraged foliage, bobbles etc. We will provide materials as well. We are inviting women of all ages, experiences and identities to join us in creative conversation to grow our communal resilience and explore the changes that are alive for each of us at this moment. This is a relaxed and welcoming environment for women to attend with friends or alone. Our artists and facilitators are on hand to make you feel as comfortable as possible. Raw Food masterclass with Markéta Bola, The Raw Food Goddess: Fri 17th May, 7.15 – 9pm
Come join us at The Moseley Hive for a hands-on Raw Food Masterclass. Learn how to prepare delicious and nutritious raw food dishes that will impress your friends and family. Marketa will guide you through the process of creating raw food recipes that are not only good for you but also taste amazing. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to expand your culinary skills and discover the benefits of incorporating more raw foods into your diet. See you there! Tickets £10 and available here. Sustainability Saturday, Swap Shop and Repair Café: Sat 18th May, 12 – 2pm
Got a broken toaster? A busted lamp? Or a wonky chair? Bike in need of TLC? Moseley Hive’s Repair Café is back to save the day! Join us on May 18th from 12 – 2pm for a fun-filled afternoon of fixing, tinkering, and community bonding!  Reduce waste, save money, and learn new skills in a friendly environment. Dr Bike team Cath and Fabio will be on hand outside. See you there!

Our bi-monthly Swap Shop returns Saturday 18th May. Have a clear out of your seasonal clothes & accessories (clean and in good condition), get tokens and swap for nearly new items. It’s fun, sustainable and free! This swap shop’s theme is Get Summer Ready!

I am Yogi, pay as you feel yoga: Mondays 5.15 – 6.15pm
A weekly series of donation-based classes for members of the community including those who are not able to afford yoga. The class is suitable for all levels and everyone is welcome. Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the start time and wear comfortable, loose clothing. Mats will be provided but you are more than welcome to bring your own. Book for upcoming weeks here.

Summertime Crafting Vibes: Thursdays 3 – 5pm
Join Moseley Community Festival and Kinmos as they explore what festivals mean to Moseley and create some flower power artwork for the festival.

The Moseley Parish Stay and Play: Thursdays 9.30 – 11am
Open to children (0-4) and their parents/carers every Thursday morning from 9:30 – 11am. This is a time for play, chat and the sharing of refreshments. With plenty of toys suitable for all ages, and hot drinks and healthy snacks for everyone. £1 per child to help cover the cost of snacks.

Community Fridge: Thursdays 11.30am – 1pm
Join us to save food from waste, learn more about our mission and how the community fridge concept works. Everyone is welcome to collect food donated by local growers with too much, and we get food from Marks and Spencers and Co-Op. We need your surplus donations: do you have an allotment, bountiful garden, apple trees, plums… you can drop items off at the fridge 6 – 8pm Wednesdays, and Thursdays 10am – 12pm.

Soup Club: Thursdays 1 – 2pm
After our community fridge we will be offering a lunchtime drop in of a warming, nutritious soup and bread to be enjoyed with conversation and connection. Pay what you can; donations are welcome.

Tea and Talk: Bi-weekly Thursdays, 5 – 6pm – next meeting May 16th
Meet and chat with Ukrainians to help practise English speaking skills and share cultural conversations.

Daytime Disco Divas: Fridays, 12.30 – 1.30pm
Meet up for a retro bop hour on Friday afternoons, 12.30pm. Women; come reminisce with us! (Suggested donation towards room hire, £3)
